Glenelg & Lochalsh

We can spend a great day off Skye, starting with a short ferry ride from Kylerhea to Glenelg where the English redcoats built a barracks in 1719 to help control the wild, lawless clansmen. The barracks still stands. It’s not far from the Iron Age Brochs which are in amazing condition. We can then take a quick tour of the micro-brewery and then have lunch at the historic Glenelg Inn, followed by a trip over the mountains to the iconic Eilein Donan Castle.

Departure time: 8.30am
