South Skye & Raasay

A less standard tour which would take us away from the tourist crowds would be further south, beginning with a bracing walk beside the River Sligachan’s marble pools and waterfalls before catching the ferry to the Island of Raasay, a visit to the new distillery, lunch at the historic Raasay House and a walk along the east coast to the cleared village of Hallaig, subject of the poem by Scotland’s foremost Gaelic poet, Sorley MacLean.
